About Me

My name is Miranda and I am a Minnesota girl living in Florida. I grew up thinking running was the worst thing ever and I tended to avoid it like the plague. That is, until one year when I was at Disney (yeah, I’m HUGE Disney fan girl) and I saw someone with all the Dopey medals and I became intrigued. That November, I ran my first 5k (at Disney of course). This was followed by my first 10k in January and my first half marathon in February. You could say I caught the running bug. The following January I ran my first Dopey Challenge, which included my first full marathon (yes, I did cry like a baby at the end). That was back in 2018.

Since then, I’ve expanded to non-Disney races as well. I go out and do races nearly every weekend. My favorite distance is the marathon (although none of my friends understand why), although I do more half marathons than full marathons. I’ve run 10 full marathons and more than 40 half marathons. This includes 3 Dopey Challenges, which is by far my favorite running event of the year.

This blog is meant to encourage other runners (as well as myself) to keep running, as well as to offer race reviews and and provide running tips I’ve picked up over time. I’m NOT an elite runner by any stretch of the imagination, nor am I always the best at convincing myself to get out and train regularly. But I love running, I love races, and I love runners. My favorite part of running is helping new runners complete their first marathons. I’m very proud of my marathoners.
