Streak Day 4
Today I was so ready to get up and run. I didn’t drag my feet at all! I’m so proud of myself! I did have a strange moment when I was putting my shoes on where I thought “Do I even like running? Why do I even do this?”. This thought was quickly dismissed and I had an AWESOME run.
Even just stepping outside this morning, it was noticeably cooler than it had been last night. Most of my aches and pains didn’t show up on this run, which was nice. And most importantly, I wasn’t thinking about the distance for the most part. I hardly looked at my watch at all! Dougie and I spent the run chatting and I remember not processing the fact that I’d finished mile 2 until about a quarter mile after I’d completed it which was different from a lot of my runs lately. Honestly, I could have easily done more than the 5k we ran this morning. Unfortunately, with work, I just didn’t have time this morning. I am hoping to get in a 10k Friday morning since my company has Good Friday off.
I did manage to show my klutzy side. I nearly tripped over the sidewalk in the same place I wiped out a couple of months ago. I caught myself, though (Wonders never cease!). But the sidewalks in my neighborhood are really shitty and uneven. They can be difficult to navigate.
Anyways, I really hope that today indicates good things to come!

Happy running!
